Benny Banks returns with Blind Spots

Islington MC Benny Banks drops the official video for Blind Spots, adding another release to his 2026 run.

Banks has spent much of his career building a reputation around personal, story-led rap, first gaining wider attention through platforms including BBC 1Xtra, Link Up TV and SBTV from back in 2009.

The Lost Tapes

Earlier this year, Banks brought together 15 tracks on The Lost Tapes, released on 15th June 2026. The collection includes Pound Cake, QoQ Freestyle, Warm Up Session, 48 Freestyle Part 1 and Part 2, FITB, alongside three different Behind Bars takes.

With a running time of almost 56 minutes, the release brings together different sides of Benny Banks’ catalogue, including freestyles, radio-style sessions and full tracks. It also gives some of the older material a new home alongside his more recent work.

Nonchalant

Banks followed The Lost Tapes with Nonchalant, a standalone single released on 31st July 2026. At 3:33, the track continues a run of new music that began with Self Doubt in December 2025, followed by Finding My Way and Lost Cause earlier in 2026.

On Nonchalant, Benny takes a more personal approach, reflecting on his life and describing his attempt to break free from the things holding him back.
