Make Music at Roundhouse Studios

Saturday Sounds Drop In is a weekly creative music session for young people aged 11–14 at Roundhouse Studios.

Each week, you’ll choose one of three strands: DJing, Music Production or Songwriting. Professional music tutors will help you develop new skills, try out ideas and work alongside other young music makers. No previous experience is needed.

What You’ll Do

• Songwriting: Write lyrics, create melodies, jam in a band and explore how songs come together.
• DJing: Mix tracks, learn beatmatching and basic EQ, and develop your skills behind the decks.
• Music Production: Create your own tracks using industry-standard software.

You’ll choose your strand when you arrive. If a particular strand is full, you’ll be asked to choose one of the other two.

What You’ll Get

• Opportunities to collaborate with other young music makers
• A chance to try something new, even if you’ve never made music before

Showcase

There will be a relaxed showcase for participants on Saturday 28 November. You can choose to perform or simply come along and enjoy the event.

Please note: There is no session during half term.

How to Join

This is a drop-in session, so there’s no need to book in advance.

Sign in at the Roundhouse Creative Studios front desk when you arrive. Booking opens 30 minutes before the session starts.

Places are first come, first served and spaces are limited. Latecomers will only be admitted if there is space.

The Roundhouse supports D/deaf, disabled and neurodiverse young people, as well as those with medical conditions, access requirements or other needs that may require additional support.
