Mikey D

Mikey D and LL Cool J end their 3 decade fued.

Mikey D and LL Cool J grew up in Queens NY and were the badest MC’s in their rival schools.

They were equally as good and never battled against each other, but became friends at 15.

The two hung out together and Mikey even helped Cool J with the Ladies Love part of his name.

They soon followed different paths in the game.

Whilst Cool J went on into the stardom of hip hop, Mikey remained as the badest MC in the neighbourhood and he had a lot of encouragement to hate on J.

Mikey was an established battle legend before Cool J and felt LL stole his style to achieve success.

Alot of bitterness grew between the pair.

Mikey D has now apologised for hating on Cool J by announcing;

All through the years, since the 80’s, with [LL] Cool J, each interview that I have the topic of the conversation is always about me and him.

Although we went through what we went through, me looking back as a grown man, technically he didn’t do anything to me that was wrong.

He did everything that he was supposed to do! But I got caught-up in people’s misery.

You know how they say “misery needs company”, so by me still drinking 40 oz’s and still trying to hold on to being the “baddest MC in the neighborhood” title – and you’ve got these miserable people in your ears all the time, hating on him for what he’s doing? Of course I fell into that.

I’m going to keep it real and say to him that I apologize for any form of disrespect.

I can’t fault a man for my failures. After I left the beer and all of the negative people alone, that’s when I started seeing clearly.

Melle Mel also, what happened happened at the New Music Seminar, that was 25 years ago.

Let’s get over it. I want to apologize to both of them as a man, because we are all under the same umbrella. Let’s get it poppin’!

Lets hope we can now see a long awaited collaboration between the two giants.

    Big up to Mikey D & LL Cool J for getting their “GROWN MAN” on! Now it’s time for the collabo! The state of rap needs “True School” hiphop artist to bring back the art form of rap! Tired of all the cRap being shoved down our throats by radio programming…the Master Ice of the Jazzy 5 mc’s…
