DJ Paydro – Breaks & Soul Show

DJ Paydro, also known simply as Paydro, is a deeply respected record collector and selector. With over four decades of vinyl collecting, he has built a revered archive that spans countless genres and styles. His open-minded motto, “If I like it, I like it,” guides his eclectic approach to music.

Early Radio Days

Paydro first joined Itch Radio as part of a dynamic Hip Hop collective of DJs and producers. Every Monday, they rotated on the airwaves, delivering the finest Golden Era and modern Hip Hop from both the US and UK. From classic 90s Boom Bap to contemporary underground sounds—always stopping just short of Mumble Rap—the collective stayed true to purist Hip Hop values.

Founding the Breaks & Soul Show

As other members branched into new ventures, DJ Paydro remained rooted at Itch Radio. During this time, the idea for what would become the now-legendary Breaks & Soul Show took shape. The show found its permanent home in the 6–8 PM Tuesday slot, where it continues to thrive today.

Eclectic Soundscapes

Breaks & Soul Show is where DJ Paydro truly comes into his own. While the name hints at Breaks and Soul, the show breaks genre boundaries, guided only by his mood and the world around him. Expect to hear Breaks, Beats, Funk, Soul, Jazz, Disco, Boogie, House, Broken Beat, Jungle/D&B, and more. Occasionally, themed specials focus on a single artist, label, or moment in music history.
